Also, I tried subscribing to the mailing list and create an account on Squarehex but I get a error for both.
Change it from "Squarehex. Also, it might be a good idea to bold or underline the mention where to get the physical print versions of this book and other material here in the item descriptions for this product and others , as I missed it for awhile. Hello, so I'm running a game of the Black Hack and ran into an issue : I don't know how to handle Monster vs Monster combat because monsters never roll to attack players, but what about when they attack another monster? I've run TBH 1e for my kids, and would love to be able to use the new ruleset while avoiding some awkward conversations.
Does anyone know if the PDF is set up for easy printing on my home printer? Is there a way to get an editable document? How can I remove this protection? August 28, am UTC.
Same here. I use an expensive PDF editor, and the bookmarks are incorrect, so I tried to fix my copy, but there's password protection. You can find the print edition on the squarehex website, but sadly it isn't available here. Why are some sections omitted from the table of contents and bookmarks? For example, "Overland Adventures". I'm playing a campaign of this and we're having issues understanding how magic works. In the manual, you say that when time is tracked using minutes, a spellcaster can spend an action to cast from a book or a scroll and making a test.
If he fails the test, he suffers a random consequence. My cleric interpreted this rule as "outside of combat, I can cast a spell from by prayerbook as many times as I want", and since all the consequences in that table aren't mechanically bad they are just kinda wacky , he just keeps spamming cure light wounds outside of combat and ignore the consequences because all they do is change his appearance.
As a gamemaster, I just realized that I cannot damage my players outside of combat because they will always be instatly healed. Thank you for the reply and house rule suggestion.
Does this mean that my cleric's interpretation of the ruleset is correct? Make the consequences worse. The PCs God denies them spell access till they've atoned via 3 hr of uninterrupted prayer, or they must gain a new convert to the religion, or must agree to vision-quest given by their God. I think your player's interpretation is correct but it's a case of working with the consequences and making them count. You can also introduce your own table, that is entirely within the spirit of the rules.
My cleric has just started to sweat grease, this is going to definitely make his life difficult. I have a mage with a crab claw hand, he thinks it's great but he's already starting to notice that the villagers are looking at him strangely, it's definitely going to have some ramifications. I'm tying this into the corrupting influence of the chaos worshippers who are in the background of the adventure.
Soon the cleric's neutral god is going to start forcing him to take action or be cast adrift. You really need a US distributor like Amazon. Sold out, all. They seem to sell out quite quickly when they get stock. I understand that's probably better than having overstock though.
We printed a nice stitched hardback and loads of extra items. PoD is great but it's pretty limited. Unfortunately, your hardback books are out-of-print everywhere, and a lot of us missed the Kickstarter for the 2nd reprint.
You are correct that POD is limited, but sometimes, it is the only way we'll see books get into our hands. Confused about how shields and helms work on characters with lighter or heavier armour. And if a character has no armor but holds a shield, is the shield always fixed on a rest?
Rolling above a 0 on 1D6 And why an encounter roll after everyone has a turn?
