After I cleared the cache for both the Voice Mail and Phone app it fired right up and now I see the little Voice Mail cassette tape icon after someone leaves a message after the customer service agent did a quick Voice Mail test call!

Turns out voicemail app is a carrier verizon app and I had to open the app and set up my voice mail to get notifications. I've tried everyway I can think of to get the Visual Voicemail from Xfinity to work.

As a small bonus, it does have a chat feature, but it only works to chat with other people who also have the InstaVoice app. What is cool and unique about this app is that it allows you to connect up to ten numbers at once, which is extremely useful if you have separate business and personal numbers. So irritating. You may have changed phones but you still have the same account and features like the voicemail feature through your service provider. So those stubborn voice mails likely followed you through your account through your service provider.
